You have been patient
long enough.

You’ve done the bloodwork.

You’ve made the appointments.

You’ve talked to the specialists.

Maybe you’ve been told that everything looks “normal.”

And yet, you know something has changed.

Your energy is different. Your sleep is different. Your moods, digestion, weight, focus, libido, or the way you experience your own body may feel different.

For many women, perimenopause and menopause can feel like waking up in a body you’ve known your entire life—and suddenly realizing the old rules no longer apply.

But what if this transition isn’t only something to manage?

What if it is also an invitation to listen?

Your body has been communicating with you all along.

The fatigue. The tension. The restless nights. The changes in your appetite, emotions, energy, or sense of self.

Instead of immediately asking, “How do I make this stop?” there is another question we can begin asking:

“What is my body trying to tell me?”

This is where Awaken the Healer Within begins. Not with the idea that you need to become someone else. But with the possibility that this season of your life is asking you to come back into deeper relationship with the woman you already are.

To slow down enough to notice. To reconnect with your body. To understand what nourishes you now. And to begin trusting the wisdom that can become easier to hear when you stop overriding yourself.

A retreat created by women who understand this transition

Dr. Tru knows this terrain personally.

At just 30 years old, she was medically induced into menopause. She experienced firsthand how disorienting it can be when your body changes dramatically and the answers you receive don’t fully explain what you are experiencing.

Her own healing journey led her to explore a more integrative, root-cause approach to health—and ultimately shaped the work she now brings to other women.

In 2015, she founded Conscious Medicine to create the kind of care she believed women deserved: care that looks beyond isolated symptoms and makes space for the whole person.

Now, she is bringing that philosophy into something more intimate.

Three days to come back to yourself.

Awaken the Healer Within is an intimate three-day retreat at a private estate in the North Georgia mountains.

You’ll gather with Dr. Tru, a carefully selected team of integrative practitioners, and a small group of other women for a deeply personal experience centered around reconnecting with your body, your vitality, and your own capacity for healing.

This is not three days of being told what is wrong with you.

It is an opportunity to step outside the pace and responsibilities of everyday life long enough to hear yourself again. To explore your health through a wider lens. To experience supportive practices for your body and nervous system. To share space with women navigating their own transitions. To ask questions you may not have had space to ask.

And perhaps most importantly—to remember that your body is not simply something to fix. It is something to know. Something to listen to. Something to live in relationship with.

Perimenopause and menopause may be changing the conversation between you and your body.

This retreat is an invitation to start listening.

This is not a spa weekend.

Most wellness retreats give you yoga and relaxation. This one gives you solutions.

Real-Time Blood Sugar Tracking (Libre CGM)

Full-Body Stress Scan (HRV, HeartQUEST, Biofeedback)

Nutrition

Morning & Night Lifestyle Routine

Before the retreat: you wear a Libre 3 CGM sensor for two weeks surrounding the retreat, so by the time you arrive, you already have real-time data on how food, stress, sleep, and movement are affecting your blood sugar. During the retreat: IMAET bioresonance body scan, HeartQuest biofeedback analysis, and HRV baseline measurement. After the retreat: post-retreat bloodwork follow-up.

You leave with numbers, not impressions.

And then there is everything else: chef-prepared meals built around food as medicine, somatic movement, breathwork, essential oils and emotional release work, a beauty and gua sha ritual, and two nights at a private North Georgia estate.

The clinical work and the experiential work are designed together. Neither half works as well without the other.

The Team

Lead Clinician

Dr. Tru trained in family medicine and later completed advanced work in integrative, regenerative, and functional medicine after finding that conventional training did not give her tools to answer the questions her patients actually had. She has guided more than 1,000 women through hormone challenges, autoimmune conditions, gut health issues, and the chronic frustration of being told their labs are normal.

She built Conscious Medicine in 2015 on a single premise: ask why, not just what.

Her own experience of medically induced menopause at 30 is not background information. It is why she is the physician she is.

Nutrition & Hormone Health

Mary spent 33 years practicing law before walking away to pursue what she wished she had found earlier: root-cause nutrition and hormone support for women in midlife transitions. She holds a certificate in Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, along with a Hormone Specialist certification. She is also a Certified Menopause Coaching Specialist and a Fast Like a Girl Certified Coach.

At the retreat, Mary provides hands-on support throughout the weekend, drawing on her background in nutrition, hormone health, and menopause to help each woman get the most from every session.

Movement & TCM

Ana has more than 20 years of experience combining massage therapy, functional nutrition, Traditional Chinese Medicine, yoga, and meditation. Her focus is movement as medicine: somatic and Qigong practices that release stored stress and bring the nervous system out of chronic fight-or-flight.

At the retreat, Ana leads the morning movement sessions and Qigong.

Emotional Wellness

Angela trained first in psychology, then in nursing, then became a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. Her work addresses the emotional dimension of chronic illness: the parts of healing that do not show up in bloodwork but shape everything else.

At the retreat, Angela leads the AromaTouch and family essentials kit workshop and the emotional wellness work.

What Patients Say

‘I had seen five different doctors about my symptoms before I found Dr. Tru. She was the first person who actually dug into what was happening in my body instead of telling me my levels were fine. Within a few months, I had real answers — not just more prescriptions.’
— Hailey, 36
‘I had been managing a diagnosis for years. Managing it is not the same as healing it. Working with Dr. Tru changed how I understood my own health. She partners with you. She does not just tell you what to take.’
— Angel, 40
‘I am a mom of three. I had an autoimmune diagnosis and I was completely overwhelmed. What I found at Conscious Medicine was someone willing to look for root causes instead of adding another medication to the list. That approach changed everything.’
— Rachel, 58

What Comes Next

Most women who attend the retreat want a way to keep going. Three days creates a shift. Going home without a structure to build on is where that shift typically stalls.

For retreat participants who want to continue, Dr. Tru and the Conscious Medicine team offer a 3-month post-retreat program that picks up from the biofeedback baseline and protocols from the retreat weekend.

Program details are shared with participants before departure. Those who feel called to continue leave with everything they need to take the next step.

Questions we hear before registration

Who is this retreat for?

Women 40 and older navigating hormone shifts, chronic fatigue, brain fog, autoimmune challenges, or the frustrating space between feeling unwell and getting real answers. The retreat is built primarily for existing Conscious Medicine patients and their friends and family. If you are not currently a patient and believe this retreat is the right fit, schedule a free call before registering — Dr. Tru wants the cohort to be a good fit for everyone in it.

Who is this not for?

This is not a general wellness weekend or a vacation with healthy food and yoga. It is a physician-led clinical retreat with a small, intentional cohort. If you are in acute medical crisis, this is not the right setting, and Dr. Tru will say so directly during intake. Medical appropriateness is part of the registration process, not an afterthought.

What does $5,000 cover?

Two nights of accommodation (October 16–18). All meals from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch. CGM (Libre 3) for two weeks. Biofeedback assessments. Pre-retreat lab review call. All workshops. Take-home kit including a $135 wholesale essential oils family kit, gua sha tools, jade pen, herb starters, and supplement samples. Lab testing is available as an optional add-on. No surprise billing.

Is there a payment plan?

Yes. Full payment is $5,000. A 2- or 3-installment plan is available; the final installment is due approximately 1 week before the retreat. Contact us for details.

What about lab testing?

Labs are an optional add-on. The foundation is a LabCorp comprehensive panel, with optional add-ons for stool, hormone, and toxicity testing. Participants who add labs receive a 45-minute review with Dr. Tru before the retreat. The lab cutoff is approximately 4–6 weeks before the retreat so results arrive in time.

What if the retreat is full when I try to register?

A waitlist opens when the last seat is taken. Waitlist members are the first to hear if a spot opens before October 16. They also get priority access when the next retreat date is announced.

What do I bring?

A full packing list comes with your confirmation. Short version: comfortable clothes for movement, layers for North Georgia in mid-October, and enough margin in your schedule to actually be present. The retreat provides workbooks, session materials, and the take-home kit.

Will I have the CGM on the whole time?

Yes. The Libre 3 patches on the back of your upper arm, lasts up to two weeks, and is waterproof. Most people forget it is there after the first hour. The data from the retreat weekend overlapping with the sensor window is some of the most useful output from the entire experience. Instructions are in your pre-retreat materials.

Is this medically appropriate for my specific situation?

The intake questionnaire is reviewed by Dr. Tru before registration is confirmed. If there is a clinical reason the retreat is not appropriate for you right now, she will tell you. This is what physician-led actually means.
